Blake Shelton tweeted about ‘karma’ after Miranda Lambert-homewrecking story broke
Yesterday, we discussed Miranda Lambert and how she’s just That Woman. That Woman who has to screw around, that woman who seems to get off on “getting” men with wives or girlfriends. Miranda and Anderson East called it quits in February, at some point. Now it turns out that around the same time, Miranda was sleeping with Evan Felker, the married frontman of Turnpike Troubadours. Felker left his wife around the same time, in February. I don’t know… like, do I need to draw a map? Miranda was banging a married man, and she destroyed her relationship with Anderson and Felker’s marriage simultaneously.
Some of you took issue with me calling her a “homewrecker,” and I hear you: Felker wrecked his own marriage. Felker is responsible for his own sh-t, absolutely. But the larger point was that this was not the first time Miranda has done this. And the larger point is that Miranda managed to exit her marriage from Blake Shelton relatively unscathed – she’s still winning every country music award as we speak – even though there were many rumors about just how thoroughly she had been cheating on Blake. So here’s something interesting… Blake tweeted this yesterday:
Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!

The people in his mentions were all over it. They knew the exact story he was referencing. I suspect that Miranda-homewrecking-another-dude is BIG gossip in the country music community and that Blake probably heard about this weeks ago and he was waiting for the story to hit the mainstream. Here’s my question: do you think Blake was truly “taking the high road”? I think he was… to a certain extent. He divorced Miranda swiftly and made it clear that she had done something, but he never really spoke about it. That’s his version of the high road. Tweeting half-cryptically about karma isn’t really the high road though… but still, God bless him, because I’m enjoying this messy saga.
